Dallas Moving Company On Learn How To Easily Move Your Office

Even after calling Full House Moving to prepare for your move, you still have to do the packing & unpacking, which can be stressful. There are many office packing items to consider, from small items to the larger pieces. Smaller boxes can be used for items inside cupboards while larger boxes should be used for heavier & bigger items.

Begin Packing Early

The best way to make moving easier is to begin packing early. Obviously, you can’t move tables or your desk until the day of the move, but smaller items can be packed & boxed.

Packing & Unpacking

What You Need

Make sure you have strong boxes for your items. In addition, you’ll need box tape so you can seal the boxes. Use a permanent marker to mark what is in the box before sealing it; you can buy labels if you wish. By having the boxes clearly labeled, when you arrive at the new building, the office unpacking will be smoother.

If you have breakable items, you’ll need to have bubble wrap, newspaper, or peanuts to ensure the items are not broken during the move. This includes dishes, photos, & glass framed artwork. Also, a pair of scissors will be helpful.

Do Not Overfill Boxes

As a rule of thumb, it is a good idea to keep each of the boxes weighing no more than about 35 pounds. This will make it easier for you to stack them while awaiting the movers & easier when you arrive in the new office.

Desks, Chairs, Tables

Tables typically fold or the legs come off. This makes it easier for the movers, & you have less chance of damage to the legs when moving through doorways. Desks can also be disassembled in most cases. Make sure when disassembling, you keep the hardware such as screws & bolts together so when you put it back together, you have everything you need.

Know Where Items Go

Prior to your move, & after you have your items packed, boxed, labeled, & dissembled, you will want to spend time at the new office so that you can get an idea of where the items are going to be placed by the movers. You’ll save yourself a lot of time if you know where each of the desks goes along with what boxes belong in each office.
